The forecast of heavy snow on Dartmoor again persuaded me to stay in Bovey last night as otherwise I would have been stuck at home and the shop would have had to stay closed. As we are in the middle of a sale I really wanted to open up.

Anyway I had a very pleasant night at the Cromwell Inn in Bovey. My only complaint was that the energy saving bulbs were not bright enough for a knitter!!

My family emailed me a couple of photos to show me what I was missing.

A snowplough cleared the snow off the road so I was able to get home tonight and have every confidence about getting down the hill again tomorrow.
